The most important thing you need to know about me is that I love what I do. I love writing and I love working with other authors. I get huge satisfaction from using my skills and experience to help other peoples' books be the best they can be.

The next most important thing is that I have ten years experience in the publishing industry, including two as a self-published author. I graduated with distinction from the MA in Publishing course at Oxford Brookes, worked in both marketing and digital business development at Cambridge University Press, then became the Managing Editor for an independent educational publishing house.

I loved working in traditional publishing but always had a behind-the-scenes passion for self-publishing - probably because I'm both super organised and a bit of a control freak! So when I wrote my first children's book in 2016 this seemed the obvious path for me to follow. I subsequently crowdfunded its publication, raising £6,000 towards illustration and production costs and started my own imprint Bewick Press.

In 2017, I self-published my first young adult novel and began offering author services to others. I absolutely love the thrill of seeing a book go from manuscript to publication and I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to see their work in print.
