Writing is tough. Whether you're starting out or have a few novels under your belt, sometimes all you need in order to get out of a rut, start a new project, or be able to see where to go next
is someone to talk things through with.

As a book coach, I offer one-on-one sessions by phone, in person, or via Skype. I can advise on self-publishing vs traditional publishing. I can talk through your story ideas, or answer more specific questions about how you take your book from idea to manuscript.

I also offer manuscript assessments, copy-editing and development editing.

If you're not sure what you need, I'm always happy to chat.

Suffolk Writers Retreat
Sat, Sep 29
|Troston Village Hall
A one-day retreat that will give you the time and space to write.
Time & Location
Sep 29, 2018, 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Troston Village Hall, The St, Troston, Bury Saint Edmunds IP31 1EW, UK
About the event
If you dream of having a slice of uninterrupted time to focus on your writing, a one-day retreat in the heart of Suffolk is the perfect antidote.
Set in the gorgeous Troston Village Hall, you will receive as much tea and coffee as you can drink, lunch, cakes and, most importantly, space to write.
What happens at a one-day retreat?
Because I want you to use the time however best fits your goals for the day, my one-day retreats are not guided. However,
I will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. I have ten years' experience in both traditional publishing and self-publishing, so you are welcome to pick my brains or ask for advice at any point in the day. As an author myself, I know how difficult it is to find time to write. So my goal is to simply facilitate your creativity and give you a distraction-free space in which to focus.
Itinerary
The day will start at 9.00am with coffee and introductions. Then from 9.30am – 4.30pm the time is entirely your own. Tea and coffee will be available all day and lunch will be served at 12.30pm but if you want to keep writing you won't be forced to take a break.
Location & facilities
Troston Village Hall really is a beautiful building. A former school house, it was recently restored to its former glory and an extension was added. The building will be ours for the day, with plenty of private car parking, an enclosed garden, kitchen, and the main room itself.
We will set up writing desks and also a couple of comfy seating areas. There are powerpoints for laptops and there is also a WiFi connection.
